A statue of Halifax's founder, Edward Cornwallis, was covered with a black veil by Municipal crews during a protest seeking the statues removal. Hours later the veil was removed and replaced with an orange tarp.

Canada Day, New Germany, NS

New Germany, NS felt far from the hubbub of Canada 150. Families gathered on porches and lined the main drag to take in the timeless parade. We also witnessed our first ox pull - a Lunenburg County tradition.

Savannah, Georgia

During Reading Week I joined 7 classmates on a field trip to the beautiful city of Savannah, Georgia. Great place for urban planning students to nerd out. Heard some amazing Southern accents, saw my first gator, soaked in the historic built form, and gained insight into their city planning challenges.

Winter Break

A few photos from the past month away from studies. Relaxing times with family and days spent exploring Halifax and beyond.
