Footfall
Like all cities, Halifax’s streets have been much quieter during the pandemic. Less footfall makes for quieter pictures. Here are a few from the past 6 months.
Phoebe Wilma Lemphers
Presenting…Phoebe Wilma Lemphers! We welcomed our little girl February 7, 2020. It was quite a trip! Here are a few images from the first minutes, days, and weeks of Phoebe’s life.

Climate Strike Halifax
An estimated 10,000 people marched in for student-led School Strike for Climate Halifax. Powerful to witness youth organizing for change!

Jordan, Israel, Palestine
“Why there?”, people said. My sister-in-law and brother-in-law, living in Amman, were a big draw; we wanted to see a bit of their life there. But I’ve long been drawn to the region and its complexity. It was a quick trip, but rich in experience and learning. Hopefully these pictures show something of that, but you should go and see for yourself.

On the Waterfront
Over the summer I made regular trips to photograph the Halifax waterfront, thinking a project might come of it. The Constantine Manos workshop I attended in the spring inspired me to look for something close to home that I could easily return to. Here are some of the pictures so far.
